About UpdatesLong-time readers of Zona will know that the history of this web page can be divided into two periods: the early years, 1996 through 1998, when I added new material on a monthly or bimonthly basis, and more recent years, when updates have been far less frequent. Back in the early days, when Zona was pretty much the only girdle page around, I felt immense pressure to be "all things to all people" in matters girdle. The rate and intensity of response from readers was such that I really felt as if I were letting folks down if I did not keep up a steady stream of new material. Now I can take life a bit easier, and lead Zona in the directions that interest me the most, secure in the knowledge that there are other venues that will serve the interests that I do not. The new location will facilitate addition of new material in one very important way. At the previous location, I had long since passed my basic allocation of server space. If I wanted to add more material, I had two choices: take something down, or pay for more space. Hating to remove what I’ve been told is interesting material, I coughed up for several upgrades. However, while I’m determined to keep Zona a non-profit enterprise, I can’t let it become too much a drain on the family finances. Now, Zona’s new location offers twice as much room, at a reasonable price. There’s plenty more material to add, plenty of room to put it. And dare I say it, with the redesign out of the way, there should even be some time to work on getting that new stuff on-line. As always, thank you all for your patience and your outstanding support over the years. Sincerely, Virginian
